You know that your reputation is key to success. But can you build it alone? Partnering with organizations known for high standards of quality can lend you credibility and show your customers you’re the qualified professional who’s right for their job.
National Association of Home Builders
The National Association of Home Builders is a nationally-recognized trade organization that represents the building industry as a whole and works to improve housing affordability, availability and choice. Builders are the backbone of NAHB, and an NAHB membership enhances your professional credibility and visibility by touting your relationship with one of the nation’s most highly respected trade organizations.
When you use VSI-certified products and installers, your prospective customers know you’re serious about the quality and durability of the products you use to side their home — and that your team knows how to install the products correctly so it looks beautiful for life. VSI’s work to further the growth and development of the vinyl siding industry by helping to educate consumers, suppliers and installers; improve performance standards; and promote the development of superior products has made this certification a must in the minds of customers.
Today’s environmentally-conscious consumers recognize products that carry the Energy Star logo as a way to save money while protecting the environment. By including Energy Star products in the homes you build, you tell prospective customers that you value the environment — and their ability to manage future utility costs — as much as they do.
United States Green Building Council
The goal of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation. One of USGBC’s most influential programs is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED. Becoming a member of the USGBC tells your customers that you are partnered with an organization that places an emphasis on LEED-certified building practices.
The Home Builders Institute, or HBI, is an affiliate of the NAHB that provides certification and resources for instructors and students interested in the residential construction industry. By providing education about construction and homebuilding, they help assure the future of the industry, strengthen communities by giving young people a good start in a solid career and provide an opportunity for builders to demonstrate their appreciation and give back.
